About the Artwork
As an Aquarius and someone deeply fascinated by the wonders of the sea, "Pawi" the Turtle is my tribute to the quiet strength and grace of marine life. “Pawi,” a name drawn from the Filipino word pawikan, represents the sea turtle and the spirit of resilience and beauty that lives beneath the waves.
Bold, abstract hues of blue and teal flow across the canvas—an homage to the ever-moving sea. With its strong form and gentle presence, the turtle emerges through the waves as a symbol of survival, peace, and the importance of protecting our marine ecosystems.
Through striking contrasts of bright colors and dynamic brushstrokes that replicate the ocean's flow, the depiction of the sea turtle radiates energy and vitality, creating a lively and captivating atmosphere.
