A semi-sculptural painting inspired by underwater scenes

The beauty of coral reefs and underwater creatures has always entranced me. I wanted to capture a magical scene showing the interaction of these colorful aquatic creatures.

Because most of my paintings are symbolic, they are left free for interpretation. My art is a medium to express how I interpret the world around me and how its audience can relate somehow. 

It is crucial that the audience can connect their emotions, views, aspirations, or experiences to immortalize my paintings.

Life unfolds like vibrant fish swimming through blue waters, each wave moving in its direction, each fish charting its unique path. Yet together, they weave a symphony of motion and harmony.

A pawikan or sea turtle depicts luck and prosperity in different cultures.

Many Filipino folklore believe in its magical stories of saving lives and being a messenger of hope.

It also serves a whole lot of importance in the ecosystem.

This painting is part of my koi series. I named it "Kois 5" because it has five kois in it. I've been working with kois as my subject, and each series has a different number of kois in it.

"The Fish's Palette" is a captivating exploration of cubism, where the artist uses the underwater world as a vibrant canvas. The painting is a visual feast for the eyes, bursting with angles, shapes, and shades of blue. 

The artist expertly employs the fragmented aesthetic of cubism to capture the fish's dynamic movement and fluidity. Geometric forms interlock, creating a sense of depth and dimension that immerses the viewer in the heart of the ocean. The dominant red and yellow evoke the warm, calming depths of the sea, while pops of other colors, like Violet and shades of blue, represent the vibrant life within.

After I finished the colored pencil drawing, I sprayed it with a fixative for color and surface protection.

The seahorse may be little, but it's fierce with or without color.

I love every fish swimming on the pond. "Me Koi Child" is lucky and extraordinary; it also relieves stress.

"Oscar" is the name of my pet fish.

It eats any fish smaller than him. It also eats tiny frogs, cockroaches, or any insects.
