What are the eligibility requirements to sell my artwork?

FilipinoArt.ph is open to Filipino artists over the age of 18 who reside in the Philippines or abroad. You should also certify that the artwork is your original work.

What are the technical requirements?

For original (traditional) artworks, you should provide a scanned or high-resolution digital copy of your artwork. The preferred format is .tiff at 300 dpi, for canvas print entries only. For digital artworks, you should provide the original Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop file of your artwork. The preferred format is .AI or .PSD at 300 dpi.

Do you curate the submitted artworks?

Yes, we curate the artworks sold on the website.

What are the criteria for the selection?

All submitted artworks will be judged based on the following:
  • - Creativity and originality
  • - Quality of the artistic composition and visual components
  • - Overall impression of the artwork
  • - Will it look great at home or in the office? (Part of our client base are thousands of property buyers and sellers on PropertyAsia.ph)

How will I be notified if my artwork is accepted?

You will receive a call or an email from FilipinoArt.ph.

Will FilipinoArt.ph dictate the price of my artwork?

Except for the printed copies, FilipinoArt.ph will not dictate the price of your original (traditional) artwork. However, please consider adding extra for the packaging of your artwork. In shipping out your artwork within the Philippines or internationally, we work with companies SNDT Express, LBC, DHL, and Johnny Air Cargo. They require the artwork to be packed using quality materials.

How should I package my artwork for shipping?

Any original (traditional) artwork should be encased in a bubble wrap, cloth, or any material that will serve as a cushion. It should also be placed in a wooden crate or clamshell box with foam inserts or be sandwiched between two cardboards and placed inside a box. Printed copies, on the other hand, are printed and packaged by our large-format printing partner, No Blank Walls.

What happens if my artwork got damaged during transport?

FilipinoArt.ph will contact you immediately to discuss the damage and possible solutions.

What is the service fee rate of FilipinoArt.ph?

For every original (traditional) artwork sold, FilipinoArt.ph’s service fee is 15 percent only. For every digital artwork sold, FilipinoArt.ph's service fee is P500 - P1,000 each.

How do I know if my artwork gets sold?

You will receive a call or an email from FilipinoArt.ph.

How do I get paid for the sold artwork?

You will be paid via PayPal, bank transfer, or third-party remittance service (additional charges will be shouldered by the artist).

Which media are acceptable for submission?

Paintings, drawings, mixed media, and digital art are eligible for now. Photographs and sculptures may be accepted in the coming months.

Do I need to frame my artwork?

Please submit unframed artworks because clients would prefer to frame their purchases themselves.

Do I need to sign my artwork?

The artwork should be signed (front or back).

Is there a joining fee to sell my artwork?

Once your artwork is selected, there’s no need to pay a joining fee.

Can I still sell my artwork through other means?

Yes, you may do so. However, please inform us if the original (traditional) artwork has been sold as soon as possible. You may also sell your digital artworks through other means.

Can I opt out selling printed copies of my artwork?

Yes, it’s your option to not sell printed copies of your artwork.

What rights does FilipinoArt.ph have to my artwork?

Rights include the usage of the original (traditional) artwork for online exhibition, marketing, and promotional purposes for one year. Rights include the usage of the digital artwork for online exhibition, marketing, and promotional purposes for five years or until 20 printed copies are sold. FilipinoArt.ph does not claim ownership of your artwork. All images that appear on the website remain the property of the artist.

How will FilipinoArt.ph market my artwork?

To market your artwork, FilipinoArt.ph will roll out online advertising, search engine optimization, social media marketing, email marketing, and publicity efforts.
