Kriszia Claire is a contemporary visual artist. She uses her artwork to portray issues in society, everyday life, personal experiences, political and cultural issues.
When she was nine years old, she was introduced to art when she happened upon a public art exhibit that started an art program for street children. She was intrigued and joined the Kabataang Sining Kulay community from Cagayan de Oro. That's when she discovered her love for art, and she's been making "stuff" and "messes" with whatever materials she could find ever since.
She still does that today, but it's called mixed-media art. For her, mixed media is enjoyable because it can take many forms.
She now teaches art classes to her grade school art students and conducts a free workshop in her small Lugait, Misamis Oriental community.
She believes not everyone can become a great artist, but great artists can come from anywhere.
She has participated in various art competitions and was one of the Marawi "Sining ang Pag-asa" volunteers during the Marawi Siege 2017.
