About the Artwork

We all need a sense of meaning, but it is equally important to let the meaning emerge from the chaos, rather than coming up with solutions that alleviate the sense of being lost but may not ultimately lead you in the right direction.

Soft dark shades blended with rippling green and golden highlights create a sense of motion and depth, invoking a surreal and contemplative atmosphere.

Ryan Miguel Nocelo
Tarlac City, Philippines

Ryan Miguel has 3 artworks,
and is available for
commissioned work.

Based in Tarlac City, Ryan Miguel is an aspiring filmmaker, photographer, and painter (traditional and digital). When choosing a color, he usually prefers black and moody tones because this is the way he enjoys doing art, films, and photographs. He likes the themes that may leave the audience in tears or change their perspectives about what they thought they understood, particularly that part of life where most of us do not pay attention. But, of course, just like how films have different genres, his preferences do as well, especially with commissioned projects, where clients have specific requests, wants, or needs.

He creates artworks with moody tones because aside from inducement reasons, he also enjoys the feeling of sadness. He likes how this emotion gives him the benefits of positivity and the opportunity to grow as a person. He believes it is how the feeling of loss can give you a direction in life. He says, "If you are too happy with the things you have right now and you became contented for the rest of your life, you will not see the other opportunities that are way better than what you already have, which might shape you to reach your full potential. By staying in your comfort zone, you restrict yourself from growing. So go experience failures and mistakes as they give you a better version of yourself."

He considers every artwork that he's making a masterpiece because it is a by-product of his knowledge, creativity, blood, sweat, and  tears.
