Igrab, from the Hiligaynon word "to ignite," captures the intense energy within us and reveals itself through the gaze.

This artwork embodies that inner flame — the spark of passion, fury, longing, or hope — that flickers behind our stare and speaks louder than words ever could. The piece reflects the undeniable truth through fiery hues and luminous contrast: when eyes meet with intention, they can set the world alight.

Memoir is a historical account of personal knowledge that gives meaning for us to flourish and prosper.

"Why not just take the shortcut?" It's a simple suggestion, yet it’s nearly impossible to achieve. Even when paths are paved for us, they come with rough textures and unforeseen detours.

Life rarely offers a smooth, straight line. We may pause, stumble, or feel stuck, but each twist and turn shapes our journey.

The “Elusive Straight Path” captures this truth through its textured dark teal background and vibrance, symbolizing both the challenges and the moments of unexpected beauty along life’s winding road.

What have we done after the great sacrifice? 

The most powerful action of a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine among those who do not believe she can.

“When She Blooms,” painted in vibrant colors, reflects the powerful womanhood. This piece is about a woman finally accepting and loving herself completely. She blooms into a better version of herself­—strong, confident, and free. 

This abstract painting was inspired by the artist's ardent introspection, which embraces all that makes the artist who he is. It demonstrates the artist's passions and sensuality, which are both masculine and feminine. These qualities were used to criticize the artist and bring him down, yet possessing and embracing both was a gift that molded the artist to be independent and dependable.

It's like seeing the ocean from a bird's eye view.

A classic interpretation of hearing nothing, seeing nothing, and speaking of nothing

It's a surreal approach to the common saying of hearing nothing by presenting a hummingbird, which can fly without sound. The stitched lips represent the "speaking no evil" or not telling lies, and seeing half of what is obvious means more about the man being half blind.

In life, we each see our horizon, a unique perspective shaped by our experiences. Yet, the horizon is not the end—it is only a glimpse of the endless possibilities.

Through the calming blues and shimmering gold of "Boundless Horizon," the vastness of the world and the tranquility of the ocean breeze come to life.

This piece invites us to release our limits, breathe deeply, and embrace the beauty of life that lies beyond. Relax, unwind, and allow the serenity of the horizon to guide you.

"Tabok" is a Visayan term, which means "to cross." The crossing of a river or a body of water is a  symbolism for a mission.

We'll never know the challenges we are to face in our journey. All we have is the faith and the obedience of God upon responding to His will.

This aquatic-themed piece has become more relevant as this summer's heat encourages everyone to visit the beach sooner. Inspired by "The Great Wave of Kanagawa," this work depicts my love of the ocean and its force. 

Amidst swirling schools of fish and gracefully swaying seaweed, a solitary human figure dives, suspended in a moment of tranquil exploration.

The painting evokes a sense of wonder and freedom, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the mystical depths of the sea.

A mom’s love must be given unconditionally to establish trust and a firm foundation of emotional intimacy in a child’s life.

This piece, which I called "Ukit sa Kisame," was inspired by an intricate wood carving detail I saw in a museum. While paintings were displayed on the wall, a beautiful carved pattern was found on the ceiling. Sometimes, you have to look up.

The beauty of coral reefs and underwater creatures has always entranced me. I wanted to capture a magical scene showing the interaction of these colorful aquatic creatures.

Transforming the enchanting sceneries of Occidental Mindoro from a photographer's lens into my canvas

According to the local folklore, the place was called "Binacas" due to several "malalaking bakas ng paa" or large footprints along the seashore embedded in rock formations. These marks were imprinted by the so-called giants years ago, and then the rocks continued to grow as the years went by.  

The blurry lines symbolize humanity's everyday struggles, but whatever happens in our lives, we should be happy and exude a positive attitude.

I used a toned gray mixed media, acid-free paper, acrylic, graphite, and charcoal. The artwork is an output of dealing with anxiety.

The artwork depicts how those seated in the higher hierarchy can forcefully blind and physically hurt those who resist. With blinded eyes, blooded scars and ears from hearing nothing but the truth, the only way to intimidate the resistance is to forcefully blind them from it, but this can't and will not ever prevent them from their voices. 

The man represents a red-tagged individual that has no choice but to consume the government's control over him.

• This magical forest is surrounded by colorful trees in the darkest hour of the night, with warm patches of glowing lights. (Modern expressionism done in textured impasto style on a stretched canvas.)

This artwork brightens any wall with the refreshing hues and tones of blue, green, orange, and yellow, and toned down with vanilla white. The fading colors of Prussian blue induce calm, and the burst of lime green soothes the eyes.
