Kate holds a BSC-Legal Management degree from De La Salle University. She also finished fashion courses at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines and is a graduate and former Accessory Design Instructor at Style & Design Academy Manila.
Her love for art blossomed when her mother introduced her to the vibrant world of colors of clay (play-doh) while listening to children's songs during her younger years.
As an artist, her profound goals are to elevate not just the beauty in spaces but also energies and uplift moods and mindsets while fostering a deep love for one's country, uncovering the beauty in the seemingly ordinary, and rediscovering one's childlike wonder.
The artist was a finalist in the 2009 Philstar-Swatch "My Bullish Art" Competition, a first-runner-up in the 2012 D.A. Fashion for Biotech Contest, a finalist in the 2014 Philippine Footwear Design Competition, a semi-finalist in the 2015 ASEAN Jewellery Design Competition (Philippine Leg), a finalist in the 2016 Ensembles Wear My Design Competition, a semi-finalist in the 2016 CITEM Redbox Talents Competition-accessories category, and a semi-finalist in the 2018 DOST-PTRI uniform design competition.
