About the Artwork
On the busy streets of the wet market at Binangonan Fish Port
The simplicity and lifestyle moved me from painting the scenery with different stories to tell around the area.
After my best friend's passing and visiting his hometown, the things I saw there brought me back to painting. While my chest feels heavy and grieving as I walk through this street going to the port, I'm trying to fool myself into thinking that he will return, still figuring out his way home.
Through a balanced blend of warm and cool tones, and intricate details of day-to-day urban life, the mood evokes a sense of familiarity and affection for the simplistic and busy allure of an old town vibe.

Art has always been Jayesh's passion since childhood. He would always get picked when it comes to group works involving creative visuals. And little did he know, it would be his greatest strength in the future. As a person who grew to have a chaotic childhood, art was his escape from the trauma. Nature landscapes are his favorite subject because they give him peace of mind looking at his works.
