This heavily-textured artwork changes colors and intensity depending on the source of light. It has its mood and a life of its own--sometimes dull and sometimes vibrant. This is achieved by adding multiple layers of glaze combined with archival metallic inks. The artwork is best placed near a light source as it shimmers, setting the mood of a contemporary home. 

They say life is like a marshmallow. Sweet, but you can't avoid the sticky parts. The painting speaks about the peculiarity of life. Sometimes, we feel victorious and undefeated; other times, we feel lost and left behind. Occasionally, we are happy; other times, we are sad. Well, that is life, and we need to live with it. We have to experience the sticky parts so that we will appreciate the sweet moments even more.

I made this piece during the so-called pandemic having in hindsight that a re-building is needed in the aftermath. 

Acrylic and metallic colors blend with neutrals to create the desired form.
