The "Kakanin Snacks" series invites viewers to experience the rich and diverse world of traditional Filipino snacks through the eyes of the artist.

This series celebrates the unique flavors, textures, and cultural significance of our beloved "bibingka," hot "tsokolate" drink, "kutsinta," "suman," and "manga."

Each painting measures 5 x 5 inches and is individually mounted on a matting board only.

No matter how much you explain your side to someone, if they do not know and love you well enough and have not been in your shoes, they won't understand.

Most of the time, the people that truly love you don't need your explanation.

The painting features leaf-like shapes and natural, earthy colors (greens, browns, and off-whites).

The thick, textured application of paint gives a sense of emerging growth as if sprouts are pushing through layers of earth.
