The artwork “Equipoise” reminds us to be in control of everything. Counterbalance is what we need to go on despite the adversities--to have that state of equilibrium.

An indigenous woman is seen in a different light.

In celebration of Women's Month, I created artworks dedicated to women showing their inner desire and misery.

I want her to convey many emotions and meanings through her eyes. You probably saw someone familiar in your dreams or in a mirror.

This piece narrates an artist painting a traditional portrait--for the audience to see and admire. But the portrait's subject does not want to be perceived as beautiful. So the artist takes off the subject's eyes and mouth. Due to the artist's creative decisions, the portrait now depicts the longingness to escape and break free from the painting.

This bird is endemic to the Philippines, specifically on the Visayan Islands.

The artwork depicts how those seated in the higher hierarchy can forcefully blind and physically hurt those who resist. With blinded eyes, blooded scars and ears from hearing nothing but the truth, the only way to intimidate the resistance is to forcefully blind them from it, but this can't and will not ever prevent them from their voices. 

The man represents a red-tagged individual that has no choice but to consume the government's control over him.

My artwork was a self-portrait attempt: a painting of myself wearing traditional Filipina clothing, looking at something from a distance while pondering what it means to be me, a Filipina in this day and age.

What does it mean to be “makabayan”—to have a love for the country and national self-identity?

The great disappointment

I made this for a planned exhibit, but it never happened because of COVID-19.

This is a freehand Hamsa originally made for my best friend.

“Little Flowers” represents its painter who is starting to bloom; she's a 10-year-old girl with a passion for arts and crafts.

This painting is my original work with the signature folds style, which I titled "Pahinga" to celebrate Women's Month.

It honors the contribution of women in our society and also raises awareness about violence against women in any form.

"El Padre" represents a hard-working father whose sole purpose is to provide for the family. The painting depicts the history of hard work through the lines on the face of the subject.

"El Padre" is also a representation of love and provision. 

This exquisite drawing features a hamsa hand adorned with an eye, symbolizing protection and good fortune. The intricate design showcases detailed patterns that enhance its spiritual significance, making it a perfect addition to any home or personal collection.
