The most powerful action of a woman is to love herself, be herself, and shine among those who do not believe she can.

“When She Blooms,” painted in vibrant colors, reflects the powerful womanhood. This piece is about a woman finally accepting and loving herself completely. She blooms into a better version of herself­—strong, confident, and free. 

A wolf and a fox bump noses as they venture into the wild

Their differences did not stop a wolf and a fox from venturing into the forest together. They show their agreement by bumping their noses, almost like a kiss. There are no alpha males in this pairing because there are no genuine alpha males in the wild. There is just equality in their diversity.

A mom’s love must be given unconditionally to establish trust and a firm foundation of emotional intimacy in a child’s life.

Rooted in the wisdom of "Desiderata," this painting portrays a powerful embrace of self, both protective and nurturing. The figure holds themselves close, symbolizing inner peace amidst chaos. Flowing elements and sacred symbols at the heart evoke serenity, faith, and the quiet strength when we learn to embrace the stillness within.

"She Deserves to Reward Herself" captures a moment of indulgence, a woman granting herself something she truly enjoys without guilt or hesitation. The rich colors and expressive gaze reflect the balance between desire and self-worth, reminding us that treating oneself isn’t just a luxury but a necessity. 

The combination of colors and patterns may symbolize the complexities of emotions and personal identity, inviting viewers to engage with the subject on multiple levels.

The woman’s expression, with its calm yet contemplative demeanor, suggests a moment of reflection or insight, aligning well with the overarching theme of self-love.

I chose "Star" because of her eyes. She looks like a very happy dog. I wish she'd find her forever home soon. 

I used a limited color palette for the painting, with hues of oranges and purples.

We all have obstacles in our lives, but what's most important is we stay focused on our goals

The piece captures the mother-child bond through geometric forms, symbolizing how love is present from every perspective.

Some people are puzzled by a woman's smile. They cannot make sense of her or describe her, but her authentic nature is a gem.

A woman's smile is an expression of gratitude. In all her glory and misery, a woman's smile is for the service of God.

A fragment of my memory

The piece highlights the vibrant bond between mother and child, celebrating their love through colorful, fragmented shapes that come together in harmony.

During the pandemic, we all experience struggles in our lives. We want to pause at the moment and take a deep breath--realizing that we all have the courage to take control of our lives and look for a brighter future instead.

"Tagay" is a Filipino way of drinking alcohol with friends, sharing the same drinking glass.

The artwork depicts the mad and surreal things that can be found in one's dream.

This painting is part of my motherhood series in tribute to all the dedicated mothers out there--for all the sacrifices they make in bringing up a child in this world. Indeed, it is one of the noblest jobs, yet it plays such a significant role in the society anyone embarks on.

Part of a series of paintings exploring the most basic of human emotion: in this instance, rage.

Rage is captured not only through the intensity of expression but likewise by the emotive power of color.

I took some inspiration from a photograph found in a book titled "Lucon et Palaouan; six années de voyages aux Philippines" (1886) by the Frenchman Alfred Marche.

The American writer George Waldo Browne used the same photograph in his "The Pearl of the Orient: The Philippine Islands" (1990), but he simply captioned it "Mestizos."

I've been studying Baroque style lately, and that is also my inspiration for this piece.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder," according to the well-known saying. Yet, it is only today our eyes need to make some effort to find beauty in so many faces. But when it comes to the Filipiñanas of the past, their appearance was unquestionably pure. One can be sure these beauties are as real as it gets.

Women may be traditionally perceived as the weaker vessel than men, but the former has never been forfeited of love, honor, and respect.

Mga luhang Ekinubli sa Pagbuhos ng ulan is my original work depicting circumstances and challenges of ones life. This Hyper Realism portraiture is really close to my heart it's because of the message that I put to create this masterpiece.

I painted this during a live figure painting session organized by the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists. Featuring model and artist Ms. Tsen, this painting was done on the spot in 10 minutes.

The greatest lie ever told: How ironic that faith and worship can be used to manipulate and instill blasphemy.

I would always associate this quote with this painting: "I feel bitter melancholy, when shall I see you again?" - Simon de Beauvoir, from a letter to Jean-Paul Sartre (Paris, Thursday, 4 January 1941). If you see the pattern where a man is holding a woman tightly, it just means he knew that she will let go and won't be back soon. (This still depends on how you perceive it.)

This artwork represents the homo or human. This subject inspired the artist because he studied human history.

A being does not know how much knowledge an existing creature has. The eyes can be the key to understanding if a person is true to oneself, but things our eyes show can be very different from what we think or see.
