Whenever I look back on my childhood, I see many images, people, and places I went to. I feel nostalgic. I'm sad I can't go back to the past, but I'm happy to have those memories, which I never want to forget. I want to have something to look at in the future. That's why I create these kinds of paintings. 

"Nipa Hut 1" is the first in a series.

This magnificent furry companion, a being of kindness, gentleness, and love, enchanted my entire universe. However, one must never underestimate her, for she possesses an unparalleled power that surpasses any other creature known to humanity.

Tala, a little furry creature, won me over with her intense gaze, yet I could sense her gentle soul. Memories of my childhood pet flooded back to me as I cared for him from infancy until his untimely departure. I share a distinct bond with Tala, reminiscent of my beloved feline companion from long ago. Through my cubist art, I was able to convey this connection authentically.

It's a blessing for all children who have had a happy childhood. 

Every discarded tire becomes a toy you spin, with a stick while you run alongside.

Bathed in a soft glow, the mother cradles her child, emanating love and wisdom. With the mother serving as a guiding light in the child's life.

Through warm tones and expressive brushstrokes, the painting captures the universal theme of maternal love, inviting viewers to reflect on the profound influence of a mother's embrace.

Self-doubt imprisons us. We are kept in a box. Therefore, our plans or goals still need to be met.

Let's face our fears and failures if we could only stand up and open the boxes, cabinets, and drawers of our past.

Filipinos are known as resourceful people. This is reflected even in our earliest childhood games, such as the old favorite, Kariling.

Air: Our Thoughts

"Kubkob" explores the human condition through the depiction of posture and emotion, focusing on the physical act of slouching as a metaphor for inner reflection, weariness, or contemplation.

"Girl in the River" is a freehand oil painting on canvas.

'Pagmamano' is an honoring gesture in Filipino culture. It shows respect for the elderly.

This artwork reminds us that today's generation still practices this tradition.

As a kid, after a long weekday of studying and sleeping early, weekends were our escape from  assignments and lectures. But no. We should help our parents clean the house and the yard early in the morning. 

It stinks, and we always had some time for a little getaway. We all did that; hence, there was always a setback, either a pinch in the ear or waist or any method our parents knew to discipline us.

God is a father who will carry His children out of darkness if they seek Him. He transcends our understanding and surpasses anything within the physical realm.

Time flies fast into the future, but I remember the old days when the only thing we could do was play with our peers.

"Ulap" is an artwork created from scrap paper and plastic, melted, shaped, painted, and then arranged on reclaimed wood. The piece features Mt. Mayon with a gentle eruption, using shades of blue to evoke strength and tranquility. The bold shapes and textured details emphasize the volcano's majestic presence, presenting its force in a peaceful and restrained way.

I painted the horse in an auspicious scene, where a starry night invites positive energies.

My Mother and Child series is an inventive combination of diverse art movements. It delves with the iconic topic herein, which is the tender loving care (TLC) of a parent to a child. It can be likened to mothering, a contextual nurturing of Philippine culture.

"The Fish's Palette" is a captivating exploration of cubism, where the artist uses the underwater world as a vibrant canvas. The painting is a visual feast for the eyes, bursting with angles, shapes, and shades of blue. 

The artist expertly employs the fragmented aesthetic of cubism to capture the fish's dynamic movement and fluidity. Geometric forms interlock, creating a sense of depth and dimension that immerses the viewer in the heart of the ocean. The dominant red and yellow evoke the warm, calming depths of the sea, while pops of other colors, like Violet and shades of blue, represent the vibrant life within.

A young cuthullu innocently plays with a puppy while laser lights are aimed at him. This is where our approach to something new and unfamiliar could lead to drastically different paths.

Innocence leads the cuthullu to the joy of discovery. While the fear in man leads to hate and destruction.

"The Madonna of the Streets" is a tender image of the Virgin Mary, often portrayed as a mother protecting her child amid hardship and poverty. This title highlights her deep compassion for the marginalized and vulnerable, reminding us of her loving presence in the struggles of everyday life, offering comfort, hope, and shelter to all in need.
