Born and raised in Lucban, Quezon, Ivan started painting at a young age. He's using charcoal, oil, and acrylic as his mediums. Sharing the same passion as his father for colors and hues, he's been able to compete and present his works on various occasions.

Ivan has been a member of one of the well-known and finest artist organizations in his hometown, the Daloy-Likha.

He has had art shows at Janzen Hann Art Cafe and Quezon Art in Lucban, GSIS Museum of Art, NCCA Art Exhibit, Ricado's Galleria in Amadeo, Cavite, Buklod Art Exhibit in Pasig City, and Ugnay Sining at Kamayan sa Palaisdaan.
