About the Artwork
The "Wasted Island" was inspired by the stories I've read that have tragic endings because I know the feeling of being lonely.
While I was making this painting, I encountered many challenges. Luckily, I finished it, and it was worth it.
The swirling patterns and vivid contrast between the blues and greens along with brushstroke movements create an impression of strong winds and motion, evoking a feeling of energy and turbulence in a serene natural setting.

Some people may find cans of paint scattered in a room a bit messy, and not too mesmerizing to look at, but that gave Neo Mae the idea of combining the paint's different colors on a canvas. She began making splatter and fluid paintings, and abstract images since then.
