About the Artwork

"The 18th Dance" has been inspired by a real-life event of a girl turning into a woman. The 18th dance is the most awaited dance, where the "new strong woman" wears a glamorous red dress with a long flowing skirt.

The piece is painted on a four-panel canvas board in different depths.

Using a dramatic contrast of cool blues and vibrant reds, the painting evokes a striking sense of passion and focused energy. The brushstrokes are expressive and fluid, enhancing the dynamic and emotionally charged atmosphere.

Ben is a professional graphic designer and visual artist. He graduated from Draft Academy, where he took up intensive visual design.  Ben discovered his passion for the arts early when he was trying to draw Goku and Vegeta, characters from a Japanese anime. For him, art is his "getaway vehicle" when he tries to escape his rough experiences in grade school. For him, making fantastic art is still the prettiest way to describe lives and experiences.
