About the Artwork

I usually do self-portraits every year to represent whatever feelings that year had. This one is a mixture of colorful and dark tones, using mainly primary paint colors and gold paint.

It has the signature of dripping paint I apply to many of my works.

Strong contrasting warm tones and bold strokes emphasize raw emotion and turmoil, creating a sense of intensity and inner conflict.

    commissioned work.

Ryna, or Arby, has been in love with art since childhood. It all started when she kept doodling on her notebooks during class and whatnot.

Seeing this, Arby’s parents encouraged her to pursue art: gifting her with little art sets and multiple sketchbooks, crayons, and pencils on her birthdays, which she considered as her building blocks. The best gift, perhaps, was when she was enrolled in a summer training camp for oil and acrylic painting.

She paints mainly without any emotional or experiential references, a visible theme in almost all of her artworks, be they traditional or digital.
