About the Artwork

This allegory of hope is depicted in this native Filipina's persona. She is dressed in sheer simplicity yet bathed in golden radiance. She may seem frail and vulnerable in her innocence, a mere feeble woman shaped by the perceptions of an unjust and cruel world. But as her eyes lift to the star-studded heavens, she exudes a glimmer of perseverance and indestructible faith. A gaze in which her heart's desires create a portal to a foreseeable future in which good and great things have always yet to come.

Intricate gold accents, warm tones, and contrasting details create a sense of refinement and grace, evoking an air of dignity and reverence.
