    Born in the City of Moncada, Tarlac, Maria Lariza is a self-taught artist. She began to draw since she learned how to write her name. She has tried many mediums, such as  oil pastel, colored pencil, graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. Maria Lariza is the granddaughter of Filipino folk artist Elito "Amang Pintor" Circa.
