About the Artwork
I took the reference of this artwork from the remote Barangay of Tulo-tulo, Consolacion, Cebu. Soon, this place will convert into townhomes and a subdivision. The crossroads show they started to develop the site. I love and appreciate nature; the solemnity of its scenery amazes me. I want them to be preserved as much as possible (if not) at least, I get to keep this place in my artwork.
By using vibrant greenery and light earthy tones, with a clear and bright sky, it evokes peace and harmony with nature. The meandering path and secluded house enhance the serene and idyllic atmosphere.

Not too long ago, Ruel considered himself as a nominal artist. He appreciated art as he enjoys nature more often. However, because of the social norm that one had to work after college graduation, he spent half of his life working as a production associate and data analyst encoder in a BPO company. Until the situation hit him hard, and finally decided to start over as an aspiring artist. He has then studied art and now holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, with major in Political Science.
