About the Artwork
Christ is portrayed through one of the primary colors, yellow. Colors are associated with different emotions and can also represent multiple ideas, figures, or actions. Yellow can sometimes mean fear, sickness, or doubt. But with faith, yellow can also mean hope, blessing, and happiness. Given a closer look, there are also different shapes, silhouettes, and patterns that can be found relative to the story of Christ. It also depicts Christ’s resurrection: how His spirit lives on and transcended death.

commissioned work.
Jason Ray is a freelance graphic artist and painter. He has graduated with an advertising degree but making paintings, drawings, and sculptures is more of his passion. He also took a master's degree in fine arts that focuses on painting and sculpture. More into stylized and abstract art, his works are inspired by his childhood experiences in the province and his favorite songs, stories, movies, or series. He mainly uses acrylics for painting, which he finds very flexible, durable, and comfortable to use since it has a faster drying time and uses less mineral spirits than oil. Before he starts painting, he does around five studies, and then he combines the best elements. He does multiple layers to ensure solid colors; he is meticulous when making lines.
