Maika Loise is a doctor and self-taught aspiring artist who has persevered to be better in creating paintings. Her interest in art began when she was in high school. When she was in college, she decided to teach herself how to paint. However, her art journey was not easy as she was not financially privileged. She initially had to teach herself how to paint using cheap watercolor sets and brushes while using low-quality paper, which she believed greatly hindered her from producing the best art that she could. But she kept pushing herself to keep painting despite her frustrations and disappointments. Now, around 8 years since she first decided to hold a brush, she believes she has come a long way. She envisions keeping painting and honing her skills to express herself better through her art.
