The 13-piece art exhibit runs at the Secret Fresh Gallery starting July 27.
Manila, Philippines—Raco Ruiz, a popular content creator, is set to unveil his fourth solo exhibition, “No Worrys,” at the Secret Fresh Gallery, Ronac Art Center, City of San Juan, this Sunday, July 27, 2 to 6 p.m. The show invites viewers to explore often-hidden struggles of anxiety, burnout, and loneliness through the artist’s original character, Razzl the Clown, offering a poignant reflection on personal resilience.
The exhibit, presented by NYMA, a talent agency supporting Filipino trailblazers, will feature 13 of the artist’s recent works.
“No Worrys” marks a significant introspective shift for Ruiz. Moving beyond his usual pop culture references, the exhibit uses the “happy-faced” Razzl to deeply explore personal themes and quiet struggles often concealed from public view. “Razzl is pretty much a caricature of the anxious side of myself,’ Ruiz shares. “He’s introverted, secretly anxious most times, tries his best to be hopeful, and always aims to please.”
The art exhibit directly confronts what Ruiz calls “real-world worries: fear of failure, burnout, comparison, and the quiet loneliness that creeps in even when surrounded by noise.” Yet, despite tackling these realities, “No Worrys” is not about despair. Instead, as Ruiz explains, Razzl “walks through each piece with a quiet sort of resilience—a space to sit with discomfort and the calm that follows.”
The underlying message is one of resilience and shared struggle.
More importantly, I want them [the viewers] to feel like they’re not alone in their struggles. Some people are just better at hiding it. But there’s always hope at the end of the tunnel.
Adding another layer, the artist introduces Dopa, an original character described as a “dopamine-dependent dalmatian.”
Attendees are invited to the artist’s reception this Sunday, July 27.
Expect engaging activities, refreshments, and a unique opportunity to interact with the artist and discuss his poignant new works.
Admission is free.
