Coffee Artists PH Joins Philippine Coffee Expo 2025

An exhibition titled “Coffee Brush Strokes” showcases some eye-catching coffee artworks by Coffee Artists PH.

Manila, Philippines—Coffee Artists PH members, who create intricate coffee-based art pieces, will showcase their works at the Philippine Coffee Expo 2025 at the Space at One Ayala, Makati City, from May 9-11.

Organized by the Philippine Coffee Guild, Barista Coffee Academy Asia, and the government sector, the expo, themed “Charting New Frontiers,” also serves as the culmination of the Philippine Coffee Quality Competition and other related activities, such as business matching between local farmers and prospective buyers, product demonstrations, and forums, bringing major coffee industry stakeholders in one place.

The annual gathering fosters collaboration among the industry players, from local farmers to coffee shop owners, baristas to coffee enthusiasts.

For the Coffee Artists PH members, “This isn’t just an expo, it’s a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and we’re proud to share our work among such an esteemed community and see how passion brews into art.”

Coffee painting is inexpensive, accessible to many, and easy to learn.

“All you need is coffee [strong espresso or house blend coffee], a little water, a small brush, water color paper, which is readily available, and you’re good to go,” said Peachy Alcaraz, a spokesperson for the group.

Compared to watercolor painting, visual artist Imelda Tagudar said, “Actually, the technique is almost the same. But sometimes watercolor can be unforgiving. You can reactivate coffee as a medium.

Coffee art painting is also easier because you only use a monochrome color or shades of brown. It’s much easier to manipulate.

At the Philippine Coffee Expo 2025, the Coffee Artists PH is just one among over 100 coffee-producing or related organizations featured in the three-day event.

“This year’s expo builds on the success of previous editions by bringing the community together in an even more dynamic and collaborative space. With a wider range of exhibitors, engaging discussions with local and international experts, and expanded business matching opportunities, attendees can look forward to deeper connections and greater exposure to the best of Philippine coffee,” said Dr. Emmanuel Garcia, Philippine Coffee Guild chairperson.

This event continues to grow as a vital platform for fostering innovation, celebrating excellence, and strengthening the industry from farm to cup,” he added.
