Honoring Every ‘Haligi Ng Tahanan’

On June 18, we celebrate fathers, known as the “Haligi ng Tahanan,” a Filipino metaphor for fathers that provide support and stability to a family or home. These pillars help maintain a home’s strength, order, and progress. They sacrifice their lives for the well-being of their families and children, instilling core values in their children and serving as role models.

They provide support in various ways: emotionally, financially, and mentally; they shape children’s minds and play vital roles in their lives.

Fathers are like superheroes, always ready to tackle everyday battles for their families.

To honor all fathers and fatherly figures, here are some artworks from FilipinoArt.ph that depict a father’s selfless love. – Toby Denise Concepcion
