2019 has been a great year for visual arts. Hopefully, with the full range of events planned for 2020, we can perhaps surpass the milestones set last year. Below, we have listed some upcoming art-related activities in the country that could spike up your enthusiasm, the same as your passion for the arts.

ALT Philippines 2020

ALT Philippines 2020 is a collaborative project among ten art galleries seeking to create a perfect representation of how an art show should be staged. The event also aims to revitalize the local art scene with its mix of dynamic and immersive installations and collaborations. Art Fair Philippines 2020

Art Fair Philippines, founded in 2013, is one of the premier platforms for exhibiting and selling the best contemporary artworks not only by Filipinos but also by some foreign artists. It aims to mirror the vibrant and prosperous local scene while generating support for the growth and development of the local artists. Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival

Celebrating its 10th year, Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival serves as a platform for the indigenous people of Mindoro, the Mangyan tribe, in particular, to showcase their culture and art. Held at the La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City, the festival also aims to raise funds for the continuous renovation of the La Mesa Dam, which is the source of clean drinking water for the nearly 13 million residents of Metro Manila. 29 February-1 March 2020; La Mesa Ecopark, Novaliches, Quezon City; Malasimbo.com; Admission: Starts at P2,000/person.

Wanderland Music & Arts Festival

Wanderland Music & Arts Festival is an annual music and arts festival held at the Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang. The festival features unique and diverse music and creative art. It prides itself on bringing the most popular foreign indie bands, along with the country’s indie band acts.
