Fundacion Sanso Brings Back ‘Art in the Garden’

Fundacion Sansό, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the works and promoting the acclaimed visual artist Juvenal Sansό, is thrilled to announce the return of “Art in the Garden” on May 4, 2024. This event is part of the global celebration of printmaking and will feature original artworks, prints, and art merchandise.

It offers a perfect opportunity to shop for unique pieces, explore the world of printmaking, and make new friends while enjoying delicious snacks and drinks. Moreover, 100% of sales go directly to the featured artists, supporting the vibrant artistic community.

Attendees can also participate in free workshops and demos led by skilled artist-printmakers from the Hannan Initiative.

The printmaking demo will begin at 1 p.m., led by Anton Villaruel. He will demonstrate rubber cut and collagraph techniques. Following this, the Hannan Initiative will lead an interactive workshop focusing on the basics of printmaking using Inday Cadapan woodblocks, encouraging guests to bring their items to print on, such as shirts, bags, or paper.

Guests can also browse artworks, merchandise, and books from Imao Studios, Marz Today, Tet & Maggie, Everything’s Fine, Rigmat, Far Eastern University – IARFA students and alums, and Fundacion Sansό.

“Art in the Garden” is held at Fundacion Sansό, 32 V. Cruz St. San Juan, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 4, 2024. Admission is free.
